Well I reckon it would actually be quite useful to me considering some of the ridiculously large and pointless attachments my friends send me. I wouldn't have to wait for them to download before I can get the rest of my mail anymore.

AFAIK, POP3 locks the mailbox during the session.  This feature of Outlook
looks more like a programming oversight. :)

That's what mine does. Seen plenty of others too, although it would appear that some of the larger ISPs here run systems which do allow multiple POP sessions (e.g. we tested OzEmail - they seem to run InterMail). The people at MS support in Australia are "unaware of the problem".
