take a look at ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/users/thockin/ Tim is the kernel
and eeprom guy at SunCobalt
He is awesome - anyone else: please don't flood him with requests, features,
2.4 etc if you want to play with 2.4 on a Cobalt and you have a RaQ to hurt
yourself with then take a look at his area above he gives you all the info
you will ever need to break your raq (in his words 'honey where's my
soldering iron')

Hope this helps but I suspect you won't have the external eeprom burner that
I think you will need.
Gavin
ps you didn't hear it from me but I suspect if you do an RMA with Sun they
will just find your motherboard faulty and replace it. presuming that its
under a year old.
