we had a similar situation, here's how i fixed it (on a Raq4)...
basically, i had www.blah1.com, which was the primary site in /home/sites/home but contained
nothing, and www.blah2.com which was in /home/sites/site7. i didnt want blah1.com, and i wanted
blah2.com to be the primary site.
-i copied the whole /home/sites/site7 directory to /home/site7
-then i printed the userlist for blah2.com from the control panel.
-next i removed (deleted) site7 from with the control panel
-then i deleted the contents of /home/sites/home/web and copied the contents of /home/site7/web to
/home/sites/home/web
-next i manually added all the users to blah1.com (home) with the control panel
-then i copied the contents of /home/site7/users/username/web to /home/sites/home/users/username/web
for each user that had files stored there being sure to retain permissions
-finally, i changed the host/domain of the primary site (www.blah1.com) to www.blah2.com
also, if you have any cgi scripts that refer to the absolute path you'll need to edit them.
also, you'll have to let your users know their new password, and to go change it back to whatever
they want
hope that helps
-Rob

Subject: [cobalt-users] RAQ3: swapping /home/sites/home with /home/sites/site6
> I''m trying to help someone who has a RAQ3 which had www.blah1.com as the primary site. This
resulted in /home/sites/www.blah1.com being a symbolic link to /home/sites/home. I've got another
site on the box set up in /home/sites/www.blah2.com which is a symbolic link to /home/sites/site6.
www.blah1.com was moved to another server and the an ip address was obtained for www.blah2.com.

GUI was used to set the new IP as the primary IP address.

appears to have been sent from "www.blah1.com" based on the username/host in the email even though
it was actually sent from www.blah2.com.

defined, while www.blah1.com still does.

/home/sites/home and /home/sites/site6, copy the users directory from www.blah1.com to
www.blah2.com, change the host name and keep running or is it much more complicated than that?

everything clean.
