To do this effectively, you need to alter the way the Raq works, otherwise it will end up resetting itself (there have been previous posts on this subject). I know Taco (Cobalt Professional Services) has done this in the past. It may be worth asking him.
Jason,I've been running a dual password (one for admin one for root) for about a year and the only time the RaQ will reset the root password from the GUI is if you change the admin password. It then changes both.
If you can figure out how to log in via SSH Keygen, then no matter what the password is changed to, your key & passphrase will get you in. I had it dialed on my old box but am still tearing hair out to get it to work again on new one.
