[cobalt-users] htaccess

Hi

I have a problem with .htaccess. It isn't working. When i put a .htaccess
file into a directory i get this error "The page cannot be displayed". There
is no popup window asking for a username and password, just the error page.
I tried several htaccess configurations. none worked. Someone said that
mod_gzip could be the problem. In my access.conf i configured "AllowOverride
All" within the <Directory /home/sites/></Directory> part.
Does anyone know what's causing the problem. And how i can solve it??
