Thom,
I just ran a quick test on my new spiffing Squirrel Mail and;
Email read via Squirrel Mail
Email replied to and reply read via Squirrel Mail
Logged out of Squirrel Mail
Opened Outlook
Both emails received by Outlook and not shown a read
So it would appear that Squirrel Mail will indeed allow you to read it
on the web and then download it to your office pc later as unread.
This does of course assume that you don't hit delete on the mail in
Squirrel Mail!
An overjoyed Squirrel Mail user!
Kind Regards
Si Watts

PS. I've spoken to about 5 of my "users" now, who have all already
logged in and set up their personal options, and all seem to think
this system is great!
