You can only have one SSL cert per IP address.
So yes, when you create one for a virtual site, you are in essence
creating one for that IP - and every site that resides on it. This
isn't the true technical explanation of course, but layman's terms.
To put it simply, if you want a virtual site to have an SSL cert,
you'll need to put it on its own IP.
Only one site per IP can have SSL, only one site per IP can have
Anonymous FTP.
(Unless you want to go about 'sharing' the cert between sites - which
is another thread all together and well documented in the archives.)
