But... seriously, in the absence of a FaQ produced by the list owners,
many of us, who care about the value of our community (I now get over
500 emails a day; it's hard to find all the interesting ones <smile>),
have decided to honor the terms of the Meta-FAQ someone (Dom, I think)
has published privately.

Of course we (those of us who answer questions almost every day) could
just decide to go to another list, and help each other and not deal with
spammers and other undesirables, couldn't we?

If you I, or anyone else, alienates the people who like to answer, then
we won't get answers.  That's why it's in all our interest to operate as
a community.  We don't always agree, but have to have some basic
guidelines.  In the absence of a FAQ (sorry, I'm repeating myself) we've
decided to go with the meta-FAQ.  It's okay if you don't, but don't
expect us to like you or reply to your posts.

Am I being somewhat "hard"?  Maybe.
