That's great for the lists you own. If I start the "cobalt-equipment" list I certainly won't find it offensive on THAT list.
You don't own this list. It is titled cobalt-users and thus should have things of interest to cobalt users. Cobalts for sale would be of interest to me as I fit under a member of the cobalt-users list. Nothing says items posted have to be of interest to ALL users or many posts of others should not be here are they are of no interest to me. There is a cobalt4sale list now and it even has one unit on it.
