I also completely missed that notice.  I've had that package installed on my
RaQ4r for a couple of weeks now and haven't noticed any ill effects.

Now that you've brought it to my attention though, I do see that the ftp
site has:

RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1-2.216C28III-2.pkg  19-Aug-2001

which does not appear on the website
http://www.cobalt.com/support/download/raq4.eng.html perhaps when this gets
posted and a bit of documentaton we'll get bailed out of whatever problems
we might have caused ourselves??

I called tech support at my co-lo (datapipe) and they surmise that some of
the RAID tools may not work with the upgraded kernel.  I repeat, this is
their GUESS.

Please, someone from Sun give us a definitive answer
