Hi All, I was just installing all the Raq4 packages on a Raq4r I recently acquired; I installed this package http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq4/eng/RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1-2.216C27III.pkg After it was installed I noticed that the instructions say: "This update should not be installed on Sun Cobalt RaQ 4r server appliances. " So, does anyone have any idea what I just did? I have not put any customers on it yet but it is already at the data center. Am I going to have to use the restore CD to start over? I think I've also installed the package on some other Raq4r servers that do have a lot of customers on them. I have not seen any negative consequences (besides one that gives me a "Cannot Build Relay Access Database" error when I add domains It still seems to work fine and I'm not sure it's related) Any input you could give me would be appreciated. --------- Ken Marcus mailto:ken@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://precisionweb.net Precision Web Hosting
It is an interesting point. What the site says now is:This update should not be installed on Sun Cobalt RaQ 4r server appliances. This update is not required or intended for Sun Cobalt StaQware. It is advised that this update not be installed on Sun Cobalt StaQware. The previous version of this update did not completely close the security holes mentioned above. It is strongly recommended that users install the latest Kernel version.

I installed it while it did not mention not installing it on a Raq4r. I have installed it on mine and it is still running. Note: It does say 4r and not 4i.
