Re: [cobalt-users] Network Solutions problems...

After bitter experiences with domains registered with NSI, and almost as bad
with INWW and register.com, I always choose a company which is a member of
OpenSRS (Tucows).

The company I use sends me the password for each name within a couple of
hours of the registration, and using that I can log in myself at opensrs.com
and change the name servers to anything I want. It's incredibly fast and
easy.

The best company I have found so far is www.domaincity.co.uk - UK £10 for a
.com. I've seen cheaper, but there's always a catch. This one has good,
friendly support as well - I've never needed it for domains registered with
them, but they have been very helpful when moving names from other
registrars. They also offer free web and email redirection which is handy
when registering names you don't want to host properly yet.

Disclaimer: I'm not connected with them except as a customer; and my good
but limited experience should not be taken as a guarantee that they will
work out so well for you.
