If you have any telnet experience, just telnet/SSH into your box
and move into the /var/spool/mail directory.
If you make an ls -l of that directory you'll probably see that the file of
the customer is probably a bit bigger then the others.

If this is the case just use the following command:

mail -f mail_file
you'll get a listing of all the mails in the mailbox including their
respective sizes. Find the one that is to big and look at it's number,
then just edit 
d "number"
and the mail will be deleted.
finally quite this program by hitting q

Most of the time these customers received large attachments and are trying
to retrieve their mail via a 56k modem , am I right.

The above procedure works fine up to mailboxes that are about 1 GB big (
you'll ahev to wait a while before you get the listing, but it comes ).

Above this limit there's only one solution.

rm mail_file

The user still exists you only dumped it's mailbox, but it will
automatically recreated as soon as a new mail arrives.
