Hi everyone. Wanted to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of
assistance just reading this list provides. Anyways, enough butt kissing ( I
have learned everything I know about Cobalt and Linux from this list and
trial and error). On to my question...
For the last couple weeks (since Sircam and Worm) my RAQ 4i has continually
utilized more and more memory resources as the days go by. It was upto 77%
and the lag was noticeable in FTP. I restarted the server and resources went
back down to 24%.
I run fairly secure (thanks to the list). I am running SSH, IPChains, all
the good stuff. LogCheck shows nothing that would affect this.
The only thing I can think of is something I read a while back in the list
about logs not rotating and increasing the memory. I have set my Webalizer
to run Incrementally in hopes that would alleviate the problem, no luck.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again and thanks in advance
for any help!
Troy
