Hello,
I have a RaQ3i which seems to have it's networking settings all screwed up. I can get
into the machine with a null-modem serial cable, but I can't get any TCP/IP activity going
through the network port. I've done numerous tests and at least acertained
that it's not the hardware failing, but I can't figure out how to clean up all my network settings
to get access through the network port. I had some bad-blood with the ISP that I took this
machine
out of, and now I fear they thrashed the internal settings of the unit to be cute.
At this point I am thinking that the "Restore CD" is in order now, and if I do a complete rebuild
that the network port will come back. What I don't know however is how the Restore CD works. Can
I install the Restore CD through the null-modem serial cable, or does doing the restore assume you
can access the unit through its network port? I'm worried that I may be in a catch-22 of not
being able to get through the network port but needing it to do the full restore?
Am I stuck?, TIA!,
~ Theo
