How many other sites do you have?
I have about 15 sites but each of them is very small compared to this one.
I'm sure the Raq can handle it (I have a client who has a 128 MB RAM 4i that
runs an adult site...he generates about 50 GB, but he has the Raq all to
himself. It's kind of fun to tail -f the access log and see a new screen of
logs pop up every 3 seconds.)
Is that 50 GB a day or 50 GB a month? I mean, bandwidth wise it seems that
a Raq can handle 50 GB an hour in just pure bandwidth not counting the
limitations of the machine itself (just talking about the data pipe.
I would upgrade the RAM on your machine to 256 MB or better yet, 512 MB.
That I'll probably end up doing very quickly (256 MB is easy, I have to
figure out what it would cost me to go to 512 MB.)
The only site I know of that has performance data is Cobalt's site. However,
they make the things, so I expect the performance numbers are "doctored." I
haven't seen any independent tests out there. I don't know if the 2 network
cables trick is true, I suppose it is, but I have no need for the other
network port. Keep in mind, you still have one CPU, one block of RAM, and
one hard disk, regardless.
Yeah, Cobalt performance data would scare me but I've been looking for it
and can't find it anywhere on Cobalt's website at all (I just looked again
after you mentioned it.) Would you have it bookmarked?
