Having posted on the list to a spam message or two, I'm wondering that
instead of any of us doing that, we might consider the following:
Another approach would be to post the metafaq to the list as a reponse to
the spam...of course not top-posting, and quoting just enough of the spam
to let others follow the thread.
I suppose that if someone REALLY wanted to be either helpfull or
forcefull, they could email the 'offender' privately.
Using the above approach, there wouldn't be a "moderattion" message to
one offender from one or more list members, with the possible "me too",
"me three", "You're a Nazi", "Why post the message to the list" and all
the fallout that occurs from moderation messages posted in public.

In many neighborhoods that subscribe to the broken window theory the
