The advantage to "rolling your own" and uploading them is that if the
user is going to use Front Page, you can upload the file as index.htm, so
the user doesn't go bonkers since FP wants to see index.htm instead of
index.html

If the jack-leg system implimenters at Cobalt had understodd the real
world a bit more and investigated Front Page, none of us would have all
the extra work.

Of course, their template assumes that people name their mailservers as
www.whatever.com, so the personal page says the mail comes in at
username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Everytime I set up a site I get mad that I have to change the lame-brain
produced user personal page...and then make sure that if the site is
using Front Page that I rename index.html to index.htm

I did go into the skel area and modified the index.html to read
/~username/
instead of the incorrect code that Cobalt uses.

Amazing that with the countless posts to this list and developers
about the problem...Cobalt has never fixed it.

I wonder if I could charge them 200 bucks an hour to correct their
errors?
