Well seems the problem of getting emails that my memory is maxed out has
returned.
We had a problem with our RaQ server that has 256MB of ram reporting every
so often
that it needed more ram. Called Cobalt and they applied a fix by telneting
in. Seems
they had been aware of this issue. All has been fine for some time. Just
decided to
upgrade to the most recent Patch OS4 Patch and it has now returned again.
Of course my support is no longer available and I did not get a description
of what they
changed.
Also after installing the update named seemed to be running even though we
do not
have DNS feature enabled. I went in and verified that this service was not
enabled
and it was not however a TOP command verified it was running.
I toggled the DNS feature to be enabled and then saved. Unchecked and
disabled and saved and sure enough DNS was no longer running. Have not
restarted my machine yet to see what happens by my guess is that someone
needs to check the OS4 update to see why it enabled my DNS.
Anyone know what the fix is for the memory problem?
Anyone from cobalt reading this? If so I submitted a ticket.
Jim
