<snip reminiscences>
Newbies, the lot of you. I remember when Stonehenge had finally
first booted (a process that was started by my great-grandfather)
we had to wait another six months for the first instruction cycle
to execute. And the cost - well, we used slave labour of course,
but 100,000 man-years doesn't come cheap. But if you've never seen
a stack overflow on a Druidic Sacrificial Date Calculator (Mk. 1),
well, you won't appreciate that computing used to be quite
dangerous back then. You had to get out of the way of the
toppling stones pretty fast otherwise you'd be joining the
Chief Systems Architect in the sky.
Tell that to the kids these days, and they just won't believe you.

CarrieB, for some unfathomable reason, felt she needed to spell
out her experience to demonstrate that she is not without Clue.
