Thanks Thom, but still no good.

The biit you gave me is different from my Authentication files, so 
tried it.  Works fine, when the "php_flag magic_quotes_gpc on" line 
is commented out, but when it is included, another internal server 
error.  The problem definitely lies which turning "php_flag 
magic_quotes_gpc" on and off.

What could be causin this problem!?!?!
