I know that "hold your breath" feeling, I get it whenever I see that
"Are you sure you want to install this package?" message. ;)
Okay, do what all did you do (if anything) before this happened? Did
you install any updates/patches? They shouldn't have touched any of
the directories - but it's got to relate back to *something*
somewhere. The cert files aren't written to; so once they're there...
they're there! Until you disable them.
Hmm... maybe a package 'reset' all of the SSL settings on the machine
somehow? Which in turn deleted the cert files? That could be nasty if
you've got a cert that someone paid for and it got messed up like
this. Might want to check those if there are any.
That's so strange - glad you got it figured out.
Okay, maybe not figured out, but working again. :)
