Correct, they are not live.
And the Internet root servers know nothing about them.
You (and any customers) have to use nameservers set up for
them.
They do have some big ISP's cooperating.
As many people will fall for their ploy, at $25.00/year for
a
nameserver record, someone is going to make big bucks!
In other words, they are faking it.
