Frederic,

If you need to translate the GUI CP not touch the 'ui.mo' file,
this is a binary file, you need to edit the 'ui.po' file you can
find in '/etc/cobalt/messages/en_US' dir and after editing, make
the binary whith 'msgfrmt' command of 'gettext' utilities you can
find in www.gnu.org  

About SSH, take a look at www.openssh.org for the last version 2.9
