Not being a bottom-feeder by trade or education, but you might want to
invest a relatively small sum(compared to potential larger sums if you
loose in court) in getting some legal advice/verbage.
What comes to mind the type of phrase that states the contract is
written under laws of the state/commonwealth of (pick the state in which
you have a valid corporate entity) and that any ... yatta, yatta, yatta
will be under the jurisdiction(most likely not the correct word) of
the state in which you have a valid corporate entity.
Why alll of this? Joe Blow in West Armpit Montanna might sue you in a
Montanna court. You most likely won't go to the trial, and by default,
Joe can get a judgement against your corporation.
Yea, Yea, you're on the East Coast...so how's he gonna collect a Montanna
judgement against you? Read some of the spam mail about making money
collecting on Judicial judgements. Hate to say it...it does work..they
can get a judgement in your home state...and then collect.
In a previous life I used to rent computers, and had a LOT of
collection(money and equipment) problems. So, my bottom-feeder taught
me how to do all of the stuff above...I got pretty good at it, and
recovered a LOT of money and computers.
