I have WS_Ping ProPak from IPSwitch... the same company that puts out WS_FTP
Pro. www.ipswitch.com. It does a number of things, but one is a throughput
test. It will send out the number of packets that you specify, a packet size
that you specify, a timeout that you specify and a delay between tests. I
connect with a V.90 modem. The program pings the server with progressively
larger packets. Obviously, there are limitations due to your own connection
speed and latency between you and the server, but it does give an indication
of throughput.
