You might try fmirror. Can be a little tricky to set up, but works
exceedingly well.
It is also a great backup tool. I use it to mirror the entire
/home/sites/* dirs from remote servers to a local box nightly. Gets rid
of the old stuff, adds the new, doesn't copy what hasn't been changed.
You're left with an exact duplicate of the remote.
