Thanks
What I tried, and it seemed to work, was to rename the cobalt generated
index.html index.htm
Then, pretending that I was a customer, I fired up FP and it all seemed to
work.
What I also confirmed was that if I had a line in the hosts file on the
local machine that had
ipaddress www.unpropogated_domain.com
FP accepted the connection...which means the site can be "published" prior
to DNS propogation with no slick tricks in dns or http.conf, etc.
Simply means I have to tell the customer to make the change on his end.
A more elegant solution would be for some "Cobalt CGI-BIN Guru" to
re-write the script along the lines of
if .not. Frontpage
create index.html
otherwise
create index.htm
create postinfo.htm
endif
or, even easier
if FrontPage
cd /newsite/web
mv index.html index.htm
mv postinfo.html postinfo.htm
endif

Guess I'll have to whap something together to do it after the fact.
