Fellow Cobalt Users -
Greetings from a new RaQ3 owner - I've been online
with my RaQ3 a couple of days, but I've been reading
the posts to this list for a few weeks prior to my
purchase, and I've done a *LOT* of reading/studying
the archives - also downloaded, printed, and read the
.pdf manual - phew!
Anyway - setup is going pretty good - I'm about to
begin signing up clients for our virtual hosting, and
had a couple of quick questions . . .
1) It there ANY URL or way for a user to browse their
site via the web *BEFORE* their domain is activated
and pointed in DNS? I know if they are the only site
on an IP, they can just go to http://IPADDRESS, but
for a virtual site (named site) that is sharing an IP,
but the domain isn't pointing yet . . anything they
can do?
2) A question about "maximum storage" on new users .
.I defined a new virtual site, and set the maximum
storage on the site to 75MB. Then, I created the
first user, who is the site admin - gave that user
75MB of storage. (thinking that was 100% of what was
allowed) . .then, I created a second user (email/FTP
only - not site admin), and I typed 75MB in for his
maximum storage also - thinking it would give me an
error message that I had exceeded the maximum storage)
. . .but it accepted it.
Am I not understanding this????
Thanks in advance for your answers - I've done a good
bit of searching and would really appreciate your
replies so I can get some clients on this server to
pay for it!
Blessings to all,
FMcKinnon - HPP Hosting
