[cobalt-users] Peculiar Mail Sending Problem

Hello,

I have a very peculiar problem. Symptom is I can't send emails through
my server. It was working very well. This started happening after I
applied the Bind Package 9353.

I have identified following may be the problem.

-	In the Installed Software, it is not showing pop-before-SMTP. I
have applied latest patch (via the package in Cobolt's site). I even
applied after unpacking it and running the rpm on the server. Whatever I
do, it is not showing that in the Installed Softwares. The package is
installed and is showing so. Not the pop-before-smtp as earlier it was
showing.
-	The GUI control pannel is showing POP-Before-SMTP as deselected
for Mail configuration. I checked that option and saved all changes.
Still it is showing that this is deselected.
-	I think the Bind applied via the package 9353 may be the culprit
for this. Is there any set up I should look into and change.

As POP-B4SMTP is already installed (I presume the package installer does
its job and/or the rpm handler should have done this) and BIND is
applied, I exhausted my little knowledge to correct this situation. I
can read all my mails. Only problem is for sending the mail.

It seems the changes which I make through the GUI interface for Mail set
up is not getting reflected internally. The version of Bind in messages
log is 8.9.3

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Regards
