Anyone have good resources (web sites, tutorials, ect) for someone who has absolutely nothing about Linux.
I can relate. I knew nothing of Linux and my (old) knowledge of dos and cp/m was, oh, pretty much useless (except I knew what a command line was).
My advise is to install Linux on another computer (i.e. your home unit) and learn it that way. I used Red Hat Linux for Dummies for myself and found it a good foundation to learn the basics. My confidence using my Raq increases 10 fold with each chapter I go through on my home computer. Linux is simple, sensible and pretty easy to learn once you get a handle on how it functions.
I investigated both Linux courses and the Cobalt Raq administrator's course and found them both to be way too expensive for the same results (more or less) I can get teaching myself.
It's even given me confidence to write to this list! Wow! best $30 I spent since I bought my RaQ.
Good luck, Howard
