The idea has been broached in the past, along with online databases, FAQS,
etc....

One of the objections is that it would "fracture" the list.

I think it's a good idea.

Yep, and since so many of the implimentations on the Cobalt machines are
paticular to Cobalt...the logical place to ask is in a cobalt related
list.

That's really a shame, I've been there myself.

Amateur Radio operators have a concept called "Elmering".  Elmer was the
guy or gal who put up with all your dumb questions in the
beginning..didn't send you packing, didn't tell you to read something that
you didn't understand and then ask a question.

It's amazing how many of us dumb newbees learned with the help of Elmer,
and have turned into  Elmers over time.
