[cobalt-users] Suggestion for Sun Cobalt Team

Hello,

As this list is fully covered with Hacket Attacks and remedies available
depending upon the nature of attack, I think the above team can give a
solution of general nature, at least to recover the systems. (I am also
included in the Hacked Systems Personnel).

a)	Give a package and rpm, which can be installed either using the
GUI or through system login, to set up and recover critical system
files. e.g. system configuration files (backup of current files to be
taken into another directory), critical executables as binaries and
other configuration and data files for DNS, Mail, etc. Such a package
will allow users like me to get back into the system and take
precautions and corrective measures. 
b)	Once this is done, we can take backup of all user files and
system files and start correcting erroneous entries. 

Main problem is to get into the system to do anything.

I think Sun Cobalt Team should help users like us in this critical time
as they can provide a package to reset the system configuration files
and binaries, without much trouble.
