[cobalt-users] [RaQ4] Test backup not possible to restore!

Hi,

For testing purposes, I setup a virtual website with users and mail clients,
created a full backup through FTP, cleared the Cobalt (rm -rf /, always
wanted to do this ;-))and restored the Cobalt OS with the Restore CD, and
now I wish to restore it to the state it was.

I restored the .raq backupfile to the RaQ4 through the browser, and it shows
a long list of the files and directories which are restored afterwards.

But what's next? I don't see any differences and the server configuration is
still the same. I tried a reboot, but it boots as if there is nothing
restored.

Next thing I tried was to copy the .raq backupfile to the cobalt, stripped
the headers and un-tar-red the files to their original locations. Now the
system seems restored, but a lot of errors occurred. The server doesn't
function properly now (Internal server error).

So I wonder what is the right procedure to backup and restore?
