I was just looking at a collection of backups from about 5 of our cobalt raq3 servers, and I noticed that they were all 1.99 Gig in size.
That seemed odd since we have between 130 - 180 sites on these servers. It seems to much of a co-incidence that all 5 servers had backup files exactly the same size.
After doing some checking, I found that the tar file size limit is 2 Gig.
That means that these "backups" that we have been doing every week are pretty much useless.
Perhaps it is time that Cobalt addressed the "backup" system of the raq servers and either fixed it, or removed it completely.
A non-functional backup system is worse then no backup as far as I'm concerned.
