Customer service.
Rather than setting up systems and networks for *my* convenience, I set
things up for the convenience of my customers, who are the reason I am
in business. If they make a mistake that I can help them with, I do. If
I can help them look better in front of *their* customers and suppliers
by correcting errors and mailing them about it, I do. If it costs me
time and money, that's what they pay me for and I take those things into
account when setting my prices.
I use catch-alls on each and every domain. They all point to the
postmaster@ address. On most domains, the catch-all is directed to
someone on the client's end who handles those things. If they request it
(which in one way or another means they pay for it), we handle the
catch-all.
I take care of my customers and I make sure they are *always* top
priority. That's how I keep my current ones and why they send me new
ones. That's why I started my present company 60 days ago with my own
network, my own server, and my own staff, and why--even though our
furniture hasn't arrived yet--we've already passed our break-even point.
Good enough reason for you?
