Can you explain a bit more than "doesn't work"? What *does* it do?
Errors? Messages?

That's basically what the virtusertable solution does. It just uses the
virtusertable instead of the aliases file.
>Does anybody know whether a module for sendmail exists which can relay mails (alias@xxxxxxxxxxx) by analyzing their aliases and send them to alias@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You can write a Rule to do this. I've written sendmail 5 and sendmail 6
rules for a long time, but not a sendmail 8 rule, so I'm not going to
try and give you the syntax in sendmail 8, but back in those others,
you'd do:
R$* < @ domain1.com. > $* $#smtp $@ maindomain.com. $:mainaccount < @ maindomain.com. > @domain1.com to stmp mainaccount@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
R$* < @ $* .domain1.com. > $* $#smtp $@ maindomain.com. $:mainaccount < @ maindomain.com. > @domain1.com to stmp mainaccount@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sendmail 8 should be similar.
Don't know why the other one "didn't work" though, I use it all the time.
I've got about 2 dozen sites that do just that.
