Re: [cobalt-users] Re: shopping cart prg

Since everyone is putting their two cents in on e-commerce software, I personally like In The Q (www.intheq.com). They offer an unlimited site license for a single flat price of $2500. No per store fees and no per server fees like some of the others. We have set up lots of customer stores without a single hitch. I like that a store can be installed in 15 seconds using one simple command and it does not touch the cobalt kernel or config. We charge our customers a small fee to install it and have made up the cost of the software serveral times over.

I have asked their support several questions and always get the answer quick. Our customers love its easy to use web based interface and even our most novice customers have setup great looking stores themselves. Since they gave us the Perl source code, we have been able to make some changes to the software no problem. Their skins are very easy to change. They even told me they are coming out with a version in a couple weeks that will run on generic linux servers as well as Cobalt servers. Just my two cents on the subject.

Miva Merchant is extremely good.  It's much more than a shopping cart;
it's a whole store-front building system.

It's also quite a bit more expensive than some of the others, and
requires that MivaScript (Miva Empressa) be installed on your server.
