RE: [cobalt-users] majodomo and updare OS4 on RAQ3



Hi

Thanks for this and have done this a few times but the GUI will not work
when I did it so changed it back

Has anyone on this list got majodomo to take the newconfig file ? and what
when cobalt say in OS4 RAQ3 its fixed I cannot get it to work ? Will the
RAQ4's work OK on this point ??

Andrew,

Telnet into the file /usr/local/majordomo/config.parse.pl

Search for the line

'restrict_post',       '#!"$list"',   # Like -I in resend

If it reads exactly like the above, THAT is the problem with your
first error. As I said earlier today, you can go in through Telnet
and 1 -- either hack the file (without guarantee that it won't affect
the GUI's functioning) or 2 -- edit the list's config file manually.

If you choose the former, the hack would be to change the above line to

'restrict_post',       '#!"$baselist"',   # Like -I in resend

It DOES fix the first error (that's obvious) but again, I haven't
tried it and so have no idea what else it will end up doing.

Personally, I telnet in and make the changes myself.
