Hello all.
I am setting up my RaQ4 and I have a block of IPs. I intend many of my
clients to use SSL, and thus plan to dedicate an IP to them. I also have a
group of clients who need no advanced services, and I plan to use name based
hosting for them.
My questions are:
1) is there a performance issue with the number of hosts put on a specific
IP? It doesn't logically seem that it should matter as they are all virtual
IPs anyhow, but I am not sure. If not, I will just use 1 IP for all name
based clients.
2) other than black listing is 1 client spams, is there any reason NOT to
use 1 IP for all my name based clients?
I have been looking at my recent posts and realizing that they are all
fairly theoretical in nature. I guess this is good as this means the server
hasn't blown up - yet.
Thanks and Happy New Year
