Another solution, albeit more work, would be to have a redirect in
each of the pages at the old site that points to the new site. The
advantage is that the user ends up where he/she wanted to be, although
it's on the new site.

Example:

<html>
<head>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="10;
URL=http://www.baltimoremd.com/echolist/";>
<title>ECHOLIST Information Page</title></head>

This one simply says redirect the browser to
http://www.baltimoremd.com/echolist/ after 10 seconds
