I have a network with a Cache Raq2 at each local subnet. Those subnets are
connected back to the central office via T1s. I have 1 T1 connected to the
Internet. I am using a Cisco PIX firewall with an http filter server. What
I want to know is, is it possible to put all of the Cache Raq2's outside of
the Firewall in a cluster and have the firewall pass web traffic through the
cluster? I need to use Traditional mode so that I can direct some of the
traffic around the Raq2 cluster. The reason that I need to do this is so
that the IP addresses of the workstations get to the firewall so that the
filter server can use the correct set of filtering rules for each user and
also log each user's activity. Right know I am only able to log the RAQ2
activity and then I have to go to the RAQ2 and search for the user that
accessed the site. I also can't setup password overrides for the filter
server because if 1 person enters a password from behind the RAQ2 then all
people that use that RAQ2 have access until the time expires.
Is this setup possible and will it work with out killing anything? Or
another question, is there a way to get the Cache Raq2 to pass the IP
address of the workstation instead of its own?
Thanks
