I believe I posted about this yesterday.  Most top-level domains (though
NOT .com, .net, or .org) require that the nameservers be listed in NS
records before they'll do the DNS allocation.

If you've got a RaQ3 or above, you can fix this yourself; even though
the NS records aren't in your SOA record, that's where the RaQ3 and
above let you change them.

Or you can host your DNS elsewhere, with someone who knows DNS well
enough so these and other issues don't bite you.

We happen to be in the DNS hosting business, but that's not really my
point; my point is that you can fix it if you want.

We ran into this issue at one point helping one of our clients (who is
active on this list) and we found out the hard way, too.

It's an "Aussie" thing.  Actually it's an "Oz" thing.
