Perhaps you need to find another provider...hell I get called before they do
anything on the network... If any of my clients have some speed or
connectivity troubles, they are called and informed of a rebate, most were
not even aware that ther migth have been a problem.......
hostwacther.com provides a nice service, when the machine is not
reachablem, they will alert your pager, you can even have them CC the hosting
co.
We have 2 phycial different connections, and they ping eachother every 90
seconds.
