There is an Apache module called mod_speling that can correct this. This
is - in my opinion - no good server practice, though. Consult "man
apache" for further informations.

If you plan to work at the console (and most probably you`ll have to,
sooner or later), you soon will see the advantages. So, in my opinion,
it would be better to do it the hard, but the right way.

With basic Perl knowledge it`s not hard to convert all filenames to
lower case. I think this could be done even with the shell, but i don`t
know how to do it.

I assume that you are a Linux newbie ? If yes, you should consider to
buy at least a book teaching you the essential basics (filesystem,
permissions, process management, package management etc). "Running
RedHat Linux" by O`Reilly should not be too bad. On www.linuxdoc.org
you`ll find some excellent online guides (The Linux System
Administrator`s Guide, LSAG, for example).
