Decided not to wait.
If you decide to try it you will need to download and install OpenSSH 2.3.0
from www.openssh.com, zlib-1.1.3.tar.gz from
http://www.freesoftware.com/pub/infozip/zlib/, openssl-0.9.6.tar.gz from
http://www.openssl.org/, and bc-1.06.tar.gz from
http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html.
Uninstalled OpenSSH-Server-2.1.1p2.pkg.
Install bc, zlib, openssl, and then openssh. You will need to tweak the final
install a bit, but no major issues (be sure to turn on sftp).
No more errors during ssh2, able to do sftp transfers, etc. Probably worth the
trouble for the security and stability gained.
