If you can keep the same IP of the Raq2 after the old machine is gone,
the Raq3 can virtually host the other IP.  More simply, the Raq3 will
have its IP addres, but then can virtually host the old IP.  Then under
that IP you can manage possibly up to 250 virtual sites. I have not done
this on the Raq3, though I have done it on a Red Hat 6.2 box. There is
a command that you can issue to divvy up a virtual site to a virtual
Seperate IP:
/sbin/ifconfig eth:0 127.0.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0
where 127.0.0.2 is the IP of your old IP on the Raq2.
This way, when anyone asks for the Old IP, they are virtually routed
to it, and from there can be virtually routed as you define in the httpd.conf
file under the Virtual Directive section like this:
<VirtualHost www.virtual.com>
ServerName www.virtual.com
DocumentRoot /home/sites/www.virtual.com/web
TransferLog /home/sites/www.virtual.com/logs/access_log
ErrorLog /home/sites/www.virtual.com/logs/error_log
</VirtualHost>
Again, I am not sure if these commands will work on the Raq3, though
it works on Red Hat 6.2. Has anyone tried this?; please correct me if
I'm wrong.
You then can have multiple virtual sites under 1 IP and are designated
under the httpd.conf file. As far as DNS goes, you can transfer all traffic
from the the old box to the new box's old IP address, but mind you that
the old IP will need to be configured to route the 12 differing virtual
sites via the httpd.conf file under the VirtualHost tags or Directive
section. 
If you can't keep the Old IP, then you would have to do virtual hosting
  with the New IP, though I would try to keep it and just move it with
the New Ip on the Raq3.
