No matter what else, you should NEVER have to delete the DNS records;
DNS is a completely separate service; it has nothing to do with the
sites on the RaQ.  It's just coincidental that you use it for the sites
on the Raq.

Actually, if this were true, and you had to do all of this to get the
Catchall to work properly, then your RaQ four would be completely
unusable...

... because every time you wanted to add a user you'd have to delete the
entire site and start over again.

In order for this to be the case, the RaQ4 would have to be using
systems completely independent of the sendmail Cobalt says it's based
on.

Can any knowledgeable Linux/Unix systems admin with a RaQ4 (sorry I
don't have one) care to reply to this post, or to the post I'm replying
to, and advise?  Please?

While I want to believe Annette, I just can't see how this could happen
at all.
