This email catch-all problem has also been bothering me lately on my RAQ4.
At the risk of stating the obvious or being wildly off the mark, I think
that those people who were offering the solution were in fact spot on. The
problem is that if it's not quite right the very first time you save the
details to the RAQ, then all attempts at correcting it seem to have no
effect whatsoever.
Basically, if you get the set up right first time, everything is sweet. If
you try to correct the settings when you see that they don't work, then it
will be wrong wrong wrong for as long as you can bear it.
My solution to the domain which was screwed in this way was to wipe out
every trace of the domain and start again, in the right order this time!
This meant backing up any email for the user, deleting all users, the site
and the DNS records for the site. Then I removed any lingering traces of
that domain from virtusertable in /etc/mail. Then I started all over again,
doing the DNS first, then the site, then the users. When it came to the
users I set up the non catch-all ones FIRST, and the catchall account last.
I don't see why that should make a difference but it seems to have something
to do with the problem. Oh, and I defintely used @www.domain.com to get my
catchall working.
