Just to further explain myself... by load-balancing I meant among
my routes to the outside. That is, I have two 256-Kbps links and
the router assigns packets between them according to some criteria,
and if one goes down then the router sends/receives everything
through the other link.

Of course I recognize the value of Cisco; a friend also pointed
me to the Cabletron stuff (now Enterasys), notably the SmartSwitch
Router SSR2000. Phenomenal cosmic power, but $6,500...
My initial topology is two (2) 256-Kbps links to the Internet,
through independent ISP's. There is one (1) internal network
consisting of four servers. That's all... Later on I may add a
third link for greater redundancy and capacity. Of course my
internal network is 100-Mbps, but the total outside bandwidth
will take at least six months even to reach T-1 level, I guess.
Scott, I'd greatly appreciate contact info for *anyone* from
whom I can buy equipment at good prices and whom I can trust.
You can never know too many honest people.
